DECA is an international student organization that prepares high school and college students for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management. Amador Valley High School's chapter trains through the school year and competes at DECA conferences.
Who can join
DECA at Amador runs alongside a two-course ROP (Regional Occupational Program) pathway. To take part, a student has to:

Be at least a sophomore
Students can join DECA starting in 10th grade.

Be taking IMC now
Currently enrolled in Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC), the first course in the pathway.
- 3
Plan to take EBO next
Plan on taking Economics of Business Ownership (EBO), the second course in the same ROP pathway.
Students need to take both IMC and EBO before they graduate to take part in DECA all three years.
